At the time, Girl Who Code struggled to get young girls interested in coding because girls don’t think other girls code. So we created an alternate Internet where that became true.
We created an interactive experience that allows visitors to surf a version of the internet where someone has gone in and removed all the Code written by women. So when girls visit their most used platforms—like Instagram, Twitter, and Spotify—they see what the platforms would be like without the Code made by women and realize how significant the contributions are of women coders.
